Notes
- Antiphons are Marian-focused, as are short readings, responsories, etc.
- Sunday has 1 psalm scheme; the rest of the week has 2.
- Psalms have NT Psalm titles printed in the book(s) - to orient the psalm within a
Gospel context; other scriptural psalm titles (printed on a separate card) were
designed to assist in a better understanding of the psalm's internal meaning.- Matins readings were assigned for each day of the year, either from Scripture or the Fathers or other Doctors of the Church;
- A Gospel pericope was assigned for Prime each day.
- The Latin version of the Psalms is that of Pius XII; The English translation of the
Psalms is from Fides Publishers, translated by Mary Perkins Ryan.- Each Sunday had proper Benedictus and Magnificat antiphons, as well as the prayer
of the day; in addition, there were seasonal offices, to be used daily, either in
combination with festal propers or alone (when no feast occurred). Lesser feasts
were permitted to be commemorated.- An Office of the Dead was included.
