Notes

        a)  This text was originally called A Four Office Breviary  issued for experimental use
                by the Order of the Holy Cross, Holy Cross Publications, West Park, NY, 1968.
                Compiler and editor was the Rev. Bonnell Spencer, OHC..  In initial publication,
                it made used the RSV version of the psalms and scripture translations..

        b)  It is was reissued with its current name and the new psalter and prayer language
                of the ECUSA in 1976, and then  copublished with The Order of Saint Helena
                and reprinted through Morehouse-Barlow in 1997.
