- The Old Testament Canticle at Lauds (noted OT* above) is chosen from two, for this schema. (See Old Testament Canticles page)
- This schema follows, more or less, and without the addition of Prime, the schema formulated by St. Benedict in his rule
- Some communities have chosen to retain the hour of Prime.
